Ashley + Rich: Olympic National Park Elopement

May 5, 2020

We drove about two hours to get to the lookout where Ashley and Rich wanted to elope. It was raining pretty steady. Checking the weather app every fifteen minutes to see if the rain would stop. It didn’t look hopeful– It predicted 80% rain all day.

When we got to the lookout it was foggy and wet. We set up tents for the everyone to hang out under. We remained positive though– enjoying each others company. Waiting, we watched the skies. Until finally Ashley decided it was time to get ready despite the downpour. She got dressed in her Jeep and put on her hiking boots. But something magical happened. As she finished up getting dressed and got out of the car, the rain started to stop. The skies opened up and golden sun rays shined bright.

Ashley, Rich, and her brother went up to the lookout. The family watched from afar as they said their vows. The fog blanketed the trees and everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. We wouldn’t have changed a thing. It was beautiful.
